Financial Analyst

I think I would be a good fit for a Financial Analyst position because I have taken two finance courses, a foundations of finance course and a corporate finance course. Intern, I know how to determine an appropriate hurdle rate for a company so that they can choose appropriate projects that will increase the value of the firm. Also, I know how to analyze the corporate governance, cost of debt, cost of equity, and cost of capital for a firm in order to tell them how they can improve their position moving forward.

    Daily Tasks:
  • Check for market news relevant to the company
  • Update associated data files and spreadsheets
  • Meet with senior analysts to discuss how this news will affect the company's investment opportunities
  • Conference call with the client to alert them of any changes in their game plan and the rational behind them
  • Continue working on research for the company and its' competitors / industry
