Accounts Receivable Clerk

I think I would be a good fit for an Accounts Receivable Clerk position because I have taken several accounting courses that covered both financial and managerial topics. As a result, I know the correct journal entries to make when collecting an accounts receivable and or writing off an account to bad debts. Moreover, I know how to prepare relevant financial statements such as an income statement and or a balance sheet. Lastly, I know the role an A/R department plays in a company, and how I can best utilize my skills in order to save a company money.

    Daily Tasks:
  • Prepares customer bills, invoices, and records expenses to the general ledger
  • Prepares monthly Accounts Receivable statements
  • Makes copies of all checks, deposit slips, and makes bank deposits
  • Compiles, sorts, and prepares invoices and credit / debit memos
  • Works with A/R personnel to verify / write off delinquent accounts
